16th December is a very proud day for Bengali people all over the world. This is because on this day in 1971 we fought valiantly and snatched our freedom from Pakistan. This freedom came at the cost of sacrifice of 30 lac martyrs. That’s why the people of Bangladesh celebrate this day.
I feel proud that this day also happens to be my birthday.
A great birthday it was today. I started the morning by participating in a rally which went towards a memorial called ‘Durjoy Pabna’. After reaching here I paid my respects to the martyrs by laying flowers. Then participated in various quiz and song competition which was really fun.
The day ended with a small celebration of my birthday in a restaurant with friends.
